Joss Paper Shop 7: Sisters Fighting Over a Husband

A couple walked into the joss paper shop. The wife stroked her pregnant belly, her face full of terror, pressed close to her husband’s chest, and asked me tremblingly, “Can you exorcise here? I feel like a ghost is following me.” The wife was not wrong—right above her head, a blood-covered female ghost was squatting. I only work for the dead, not help the living, but I still kindly reminded them, “My shop lies at the intersection of yin and yang. Any customer who can walk into my shop is afraid they are about to face great calamity.” The man spat, cursed loudly, and pushed his wife away: “I told you, these places are all scams. First they scare you that you’re about to face disaster, then they squeeze money out of you.” He left, but the wife did not move. She suddenly withdrew her frightened look, and the corners of her lips curled into a smile: “If you can’t exorcise, can you let me see that ghost once?”
