Our family lives in a county with a low standard of living and an underdeveloped economy. In town, most families earn only about 800 to 1,000 yuan a month. Yet in a place like that, someone built a three-story villa with a private garage, and neighbors have seen at least three luxury cars parked in the yard. I used to think it was a boss who made a lot of money working away from home. Later I learned that it was the home of the county funeral home director. Moreover, several people who worked under the director, when showing off their wealth, were also caught by others more than once.
